Women’s FASHiON:: PYTHON Pumps…
March 15th, 2011
qci Last season, Ebony wrote a great article about the do’s and don’ts of wearing animal prints. It served as a great guide to follow if you so choose to wear cheetah or zebra prints at any given time. A print that we did not focus a lot of attention on is the “python” or “snake” print. Several designers have incorporated this print in their spring 2011 collections. This is not a trend that is particularly new, however it is great print to wear on your feet if you tone down your look up top and utilize the shoes as your “centerpiece.” This is a strategy that I like to use when I really don’t feel like getting too dressed up but still have the desire to be cute!
Women’s FASHiON:: Open-Toe Booties… For SPRiNG!
March 14th, 2011
qci Have you ever seen a shoe that you absolutely love but you are not sure if it is seasonally appropriate? Well, a shoe option that can sometimes be a little confusing as to when to wear it can be the open-toe bootie. In all actuality, this shoe is a great one to wear when transitioning from winter to spring… hence NOW! It provides enough coverage for your feet, but may be more appropriate to wear than a traditional boot because it allows your toes to breathe! Since we are channeling spring time, look for lighter color options that you can wear with many different things. If you are trying out this trend remember nudes and neutral colors are still ever so popular to wear as the weather progressively gets warmer. Check out the styles below!
ADViCE:: The POWER of A Compliment
March 9th, 2011
qci Whether you are in a relationship or pursuing one, it is an important thing to make your significant other feel special. Many times when you have been dating for a while, you forget to remind one another about how much you care. There are certain ways to achieve this, however the simplest way is by simply complimenting them! There is no better feeling than getting acknowledged by your boo or them telling you that you look good, fly, or beautiful. Everyone loves an ego booster, so you will be surprised how far a compliment can go.
Women’s FASHiON:: BLUSH is a COLOR!
March 8th, 2011
qci A past time that I enjoy is flipping through the pages of high fashion magazines. Vogue, In Style and Elle always keep me in “the know” of what is happening with style internationally. One particular color that I have seen become real popular is one that has been termed “blush,” a light pink color that is very flirty and feminine. This color falls into the nude family and plays well with camel and soft off whites like ivory or champagne. It is a great soft pink to pair with neutral colored bottoms to lighten up your look for the spring.
ADViCE:: LiVE Like You DON’T Have IT!
March 7th, 2011
qci I recently had a conversation with one of my friends who is doing very well financially. One thing that she recalled was how life was prior to her landing her current position. Her desire to find ways to save money everyday was more “deliberate” at that time but now she noticed that she no longer did those things anymore. Imagine how much money you would save if you continued to take advantage of cost saving avenues regardless of how much money that you make? Why not? Check out some great cost saving sites to consider!
